Annabelle Freedman will be hosting a release party and screening of their short film, WOLF, which envisions how to create a consent culture. After the screening, there will be three questions projected for a group of live musicians and dancers to explore through improvised sound and movement. Curious participation is encouraged.
WOLF, by Annabelle Freedman and Alexis Hunley, is a visual relic for an by survivors of sexual assault. This piece rejects the all-too-common trauma porn and retraumatizing visuals that often flatten this topic. Instead, WOLF is an acknowledgment of the twisted systems of violation that we are living through and pulling apart. This film practices reaching towards the tenderness in each other.
