Gritty glitter cosmic twang. Missouri-born, Brooklyn-bred, and now LA-based, the electric and fearless Scout Gillett is an artist in constant motion — in both sound and spirit.
Originally from rural Missouri, she carved her path through Kansas City’s DIY scene and later in Brooklyn, both as an indie artist and founder of her own booking company, Road Dog Booking.
After completing her first headlining European tour in spring 2024, she returned to the studio with legendary producer Stuart Sikes (Modest Mouse, The White Stripes, Cat Power, Loretta Lynn) to craft her sophomore album. Set for release in 2026, it’s a bold, boundary-pushing work that further cements her dynamic voice.
Chiresh is an improvisation duo featuring Laena Myers on violin and Cole Berliner on guitar; both well known in the Los Angeles underground music scene for their own projects, collaborations with other artists, and also as session musicians. The two have been experimenting within this particular musical modality for over 5 years purely for the sake of it, and with Chiresh they have finally put a name to the project. Chiresh is the phonetic spelling of the word "Cires" which means "cherry tree" in Romanian (where Laena’s Mother is from.) Their sound spans the range of emotion- weaving elements as disparate as sorrow, joy, rage and bliss into an unbroken piece of music that cannot be anticipated or recreated.
