Schwartz's Salon: a new guided listening series exploring American music
Hosted by musician and educator Max Schwartz, Schwartz’s Salon invites listeners into four intimate evenings of music, memory, and conversation. Each gathering centers one or more landmark jazz recordings, opening space for reflection on themes like gender, capitalism, cultural legacy, and belonging. Sliding-scale admission ($15 minimum) supports rotating nonprofit partners. Sessions take place on second and fourth Monday evenings at Healing Force of the Universe, beginning at 7 PM, followed by a community jazz jam until 9:30.
