Irresistibly danceable, lovetempo is the new project from Brooklyn-based musician, producer, and singer Mattie Safer (The Rapture, Poolside). Featuring Safer’s soft, sultry vocals and sophisti-pop sensibilities over a hypnotic blend of jazz-funk, disco, latin percussion, and house music, lovetempo’s unique brand of lonelyhearts disco is guaranteed to move you, body and soul.
Their debut record lovetempo was released April 28 to great critical acclaim on Brooklyn’s finest dance label Razor-N-Tape, breaking into the top 10 of KCRW’s influential Top 30 Album chart. This will be the band’s second performance in LA following a successful west coast tour with labelmates 79.5 earlier this year.
