Landlady celebrates the release of their new album "Make Up / Lost Time," a song cycle that begs you to cancel all your plans, except for ones required to get tickets for this show.
They'll be performing the album in full, along with old favorites and possibly some surprises depending on your definition of the word surprise. This show will be a rare Los Angeles performance from Adam Schatz whose year is mostly spent on the road with Japanese Breakfast & Neko Case, so don't miss your chance to throw down on a weeknight.
Out now, "Make Up / Lost Time" features a magical cast of characters, initial production from Jonathan Rado, guitar brilliance from Buck Meek, Will Graefe, Greg Uhlmann, and killer backing vocals from Kristin Slipp, Starr Busby & Jenn Wasner. Adam Schatz was able to stretch out in the horn & string arranging department with an 8 piece horn section of New York crushers and violin & cello from Chicago's own Macie Stewart and Lia Kohl. All to say, it's a family affair, and if you tied Schatz to a chair he'd admit it's the best thing he's made yet.
Chris Speed opens the show on solo clarinet. He's a brilliant improviser and composer and we are so very psyched to have him on the bill.
