2220 welcomes a new band featuring four singular artists performing together for only the second time: Max Jaffe (Nels Cline, Delicate Steve) on drums, Tim Dahl (Lydia Lunch, Tyshawn Sorey, Peter Evans) on bass, Jonathon Haffner (Wadada Leo Smith, Jack DeJohnette, Butch Morris) on saxophones, and Nick Reinhart (Tera Melos, Death Grips) on guitar. Vocalist and composer Christina Wheeler begins the night with a solo set.
The Quartet is a rare opportunity to see these musicians on the same stage at the same time. As a band, they share a common appetite for risk, unpredictability, and spontaneous composition.
