Join us on Tuesday, November 26 as Damaged Disco presents Donzii and AxOxH performing live at Gold-Diggers!
Los Angeles by-way-of Miami post-punk outfit Donzii is a time-bending, post-punk vision: a unity of go-hard industrial bangers, darkly ambient balladry, and new takes on the funk traditions of No Wave. The group creates their own 'existential groove' through a combination of drum machines, arrhythmic bass, and up-front vocals that you can't help but dance to. Their theatrical performances are known to take the audience by surprise and win over fans with their authenticity. Donzii is Jenna Balfe on vocals, Jorge Elbrecht on guitar, and Dennis Fuller on bass and drums.
AxOxH is a collaboration between Jesse Perlstein (Abandoned Battlefields), Daniel Sparks (Omniscuro) and Erick Eiser (Hornsbee). The project began as an improvisational outlet in a garage in East L.A. after a pandemic’s worth of musical abstinence. The project crossed and challenged genres by pairing A’s lush ambient soundscapes with O’s modular beat-focused builds and H’s layers of harmony, bass, and melody - transforming the disparate parts into a melodic, rhythmic whole, something difficult to define and never the same twice.
With resident DJ DAT68 spinning minimal wave, dark disco, industrial, and post-punk.
