“The Actress” is the newest comedic alter ego created by performance artist MAGDA. MAGDA has been creating these long form characters in Los Angeles since 2022. All of her work is purely autobiographical and formally absurd. She picks parts of her life that fit into exaggerated characters in an effort to reclaim parts of her personality that carry traditional societal shame. Previous alter egos include: “The Cock Painter” “The Human Musician” and “The Danswer.”
