pehrspace celebrates Coaxial’s 10 anniversary with big sounds (and small sounds made big) inside human resource’s chambers. 2070 is a four-piece rock band n Los Angeles. They will perform a special synth set that recalls Soviet Era technology, performed earlier this year at the Wende Museum. Mesh is a Los Angeles-based electroacoustic quintet. The energy within the group is open and unstructured, thriving on free improvisation and sonic exploration. The music often lands in ambient textures but is definitely prone to noisy outbursts and has a wide dynamic range. Danketsu 7 (sometimes 8-10) has always revolved around the ideas of unity, inclusion, and equality. All of their performances are improvisational but are sometimes guided by thoughtful prompts or scores. LAWWS (Los Angeles Woodwind Society) is an ever-changing group of ambulatory woodwinds who practice and perform at a moment’s notice. Danketsu 7 and LAWWS will improvise together for the first time with their contrasting methods but like-minded approaches.
